OUR TEAM

ANDREW MITCHELL
Co-Founder & CEO

Before co-founding Mitchell Stafford Management, MSM Director Andrew Mitchell operated his own communications agency following seven successful years as a senior member of the communications team at the International Olympic Committee.

With two decades of experience in the field of communications, Andrew offers a wealth of knowledge and creative talent, all from a unique international perspective as a result of having lived outside of North America for over two decades in Russia, Japan and Switzerland.

Andrew’s career in communications began as a freelance writer for various international media outlets, including the Associated Press. He honed his journalism skills at three of Japan’s leading newspapers before twice being named Sportswriter of the Year while at the International Herald Tribune-Asahi Shimbun in Tokyo.

During his time at the IOC, he worked alongside the IOC President, IOC Members and Senior Executives, briefing them on media relations and delivering their communications needs, including speeches, press releases and Op-Eds.

Andrew was the communications lead for IOC President Jacques Rogge and IOC President Thomas Bach at various events, including the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

He helped deliver four successful editions of the Olympic Games — Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 — by producing exceptional internal and external content, strengthening ties with journalists, and implementing global media campaigns.

Most recently, Andrew provided communications for Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 before overseeing all communications for the highly successful debut of Breaking at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

ANA JELUŠIĆ BLACK
Director of Marketing & Communications

Ana Jelušić is a seasoned communications professional and social media expert. She is also a three-time Olympic Alpine Skier, having represented Croatia at the Olympic Winter Games Salt Lake City 2002 at the age of 15 before going on to compete at Torino 2006 and Sochi 2010.

Over her nine-year professional career, Ana participated at five World Championships, won two Junior World Championship medals, and made the World Cup podium twice.

She retired from the sport in 2012 but remained within the Olympic fold when she joined the International Olympic Committee as Athletes’ Relations Manager. Ana was a Young Ambassador at the Youth Olympic Games Innsbruck 2012 and worked her fourth Olympic Games as a non-athlete earlier this year in PyeongChang.

Ana has always had a passion for events, media and communications, so she embarked on her second career providing communications and PR for one of the biggest sports events in Croatia and serving on the Croatian Fair Play Commission. Her background as an Olympic athlete provides Ana with a unique perspective on large-scale sporting events, and an insider’s ability to effectively gain the trust of and communicate with athletes, organisers and other stakeholders.

She also spent four seasons working for the International Ski Federation (FIS), where she defined a communication plan that grew into the Alpine Skiing multi-platform social media hub, with an audience of over 200,000 unique users and a multimillion-user reach. Ana has also hosted a skiing-focused YouTube show (Behind the Scenes) and a live show for Eurosport.

Ana is fluent in Italian, Croatian and English and and can hold her own in German, French and Spanish.
